A flat corner bracket does two jobs — it holds the extrusion square at the corner, and it gives you another hard mounting point wherever you need one.

The spring-loaded ball nuts stay put in the T-slot while you line the bracket up — you're not fishing for a nut one-handed.

Drop the ball nuts in
Slide the ball nuts into the T-slot where you want the bracket to sit. The spring-loaded ball holds them in position while you work.
Bolt it up
Line the bracket up, drop the washers and the M8 button-head bolt through, and nip it up square.
