The Product
What we make, what it's made of, and the engineering questions buyers ask before they commit.
We build hitch-mounted touring gear for Australian 4WDs — long-range water tanks, rear bars, wheel carriers and cargo holders — each engineered around one specific vehicle's factory tow point. No universal "near enough" kits. Every product is measured against the donor vehicle so it bolts on clean.
Browse all products →Tanks are rotomoulded food-grade polyethylene — single-piece, UV-stabilised, with no seams to split. Bars and carriers are 4mm laser-cut steel, fully welded, then hot-dip galvanised or two-pack powder coated. Built to live under a touring rig, not to look pretty in a showroom.
Yes. Internal baffles break up surge so you don't feel 40-plus litres sloshing around on corrugations or hard stops. It also keeps the mounting points happy over the long haul — no hammering load on the brackets.
The poly is food-grade and BPA-free, so it's rated for potable water. Run a tank of mild sterilising solution through it before first use and you're good for drinking, cooking, and the kettle.
Our rear bars tuck tight to the factory line, so departure angle is barely touched — in most cases it's better than a loaded tow ball hanging off the back. Each product page lists the exact clearance figures for your platform so there are no surprises.
Everything that needs to be is. Tow and recovery points are tested to rated loads, and where a product touches a compliance item — lighting, number plate, rated recovery — it's engineered to meet the relevant ADR. Ask us about your specific vehicle and we'll send the paperwork.
Fitment
The make-or-break questions — does it fit my rig, and can I bolt it on myself.
Every product page lists the vehicles, generations and year ranges it's engineered for. Pick your rig from “Choose your vehicle” and you'll only see gear that bolts on — no grinding, drilling or guessing. Still unsure? Send a photo of your rear bar and we'll confirm in 30 seconds.
See fitment guides →No. Every kit bolts to existing factory mounting points or the tow receiver — no drilling, cutting, grinding or welding. On the rare product where that isn't true, we say so loudly on the product page before you buy.
Yep. If you can use a rattle gun and a socket set, you can fit most of our gear in well under an hour. Every kit ships with a printed guide, and there's a step-by-step video for each vehicle.
Watch install guides →For most kits: a socket set, a torque wrench, and a second set of hands for the heavier bars. Nothing specialised. The install guide for your kit lists the exact sizes and torque settings.
We design around the factory tow bar and standard spare-wheel position, and we account for reverse sensors and cameras on every platform we support. Running a non-standard setup? Send a photo and we'll check before you buy.
For hitch-mounted gear, a lift makes no difference — it bolts to the receiver either way. For chassis-mount items a big lift can change clearances slightly; flick us your setup and we'll confirm what you'll get.
