Warranty terms.

We build gear to outlast the vehicle it's bolted to. If something structural fails because we got it wrong, we fix it — for as long as you own it. Here's exactly what's covered, for how long, and the honest line between fair wear and a fault.

What's covered

Every bit of Novaa gear is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship — bad welds, dodgy steel, threads that strip, brackets that don't sit true. If it left our workshop with a fault, that's ours to fix.

The promise

Structural steelwork is covered for the life of the product while you own it. If a weld cracks or a mount fails under normal use, we replace or repair it — no quibbling over how old it is.

Your ACL rights

This warranty sits on top of, not instead of, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where our voluntary warranty is more generous than the ACL minimum, the more generous term applies.

04

What's not covered

Warranty covers faults, not the natural life of a bit of steel that lives outdoors and goes bush. It doesn't cover:

  • Surface rust and patina from stone chips, scratches, or normal off-road use.
  • Damage from accidents, collisions, overloading beyond rated capacity, or modification.
  • Incorrect fitment — not torqued to spec, missing hardware, or fitted to an unlisted vehicle.
  • Wear items (seals, bushes, rubber) and consumables.
  • Cosmetic marks that don't affect function or structural integrity.
Fitment matters

Gear must be fitted per our install guides and torqued to spec. A failure caused by a bad install isn't a warranty fault — but if you're not sure, send photos before you drive on it and we'll check.

05

Making a claim

No forms in triplicate. A few photos and your order details get it moving.

  1. Email warranty@novaagear.com with your order number and a description of the fault.
  2. Attach clear photos — the fault up close, plus a wider shot showing how it's fitted.
  3. Add the batch number stamped on the part if you can find it (helps us trace the build).
  4. We assess within 2 business days and tell you the remedy and next steps.
06

How we put it right

Depending on the fault, we'll repair, replace, or refund. For genuine warranty faults we cover return freight both ways with a prepaid label.

  • Minor faults: we ship the replacement part with fitting instructions.
  • Structural failures: replacement unit, or repair at our workshop if you prefer.
  • Major failures under the ACL: your choice of replacement or refund.
07

Transfers & resale

Sold the rig with our gear still on it? The structural lifetime warranty stays with the product, not the original buyer — the new owner just needs the original order number or batch stamp to claim. Finish and electrical warranties remain tied to the original purchase date.

08

Caring for your gear

A little upkeep keeps the warranty clean and the gear looking sharp for years:

  • Hose off mud and salt after beach or river trips — salt is the enemy of any finish.
  • Re-torque bolts after the first 500km, then check at each service.
  • Touch up stone chips with the matching paint stick before they spread.
Out of warranty?

We still sell spares at cost and can re-coat tired steel. Old gear doesn't mean you're on your own — drop us a message.

Something's failed?

Let's sort it.

Send a couple of photos and your order number — we'll assess it within two business days and make it right.
